Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room, although advertised as a 'HOT TUB' room, was far from the poolhouse and breakfast area which was inconvenient. Despite being unprepared upon arrival, the hotel did offer a 2 bedroom suite option. The service was decent but lacked a personal touch. The location was convenient for accessing the beach and ferries to Mackinac Island, but there were some maintenance issues around the hotel entry. The dining experience varied from decent options for families to subpar offerings like warm, unappetizing food. However, the hotel did provide home-grown products which was a nice touch.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The location was superb, offering a beautiful view of the lake and being conveniently close to the ferry to Mackinac Island. The rooms, however, showed wear and tear, were dark, and had non-working light fixtures. The service was friendly and helpful, but not particularly welcoming. The dining experience left much to be desired with limited options, despite the quick check-in and out process. The facilities were decent overall.
My stay at the hotel was full of surprises, both good and bad. The room I got was like a hidden gem overflowing with garbage, but then I received an unexpected upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi that comfortably accommodated all 6 of us. However, the room was located on the second floor of one of the buildings, not in the lobby, which was a bit inconvenient. The hotel's location attracted me enough to extend my stay, despite having to pay $50 more for the same room.
